About The Position

Medical Park West Rehabilitation and Skilled Care is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide care in its long-term and rehabilitative care facility in Norman, Oklahoma. The role works an 8-hour shift, providing residents with personal care, assisting the charge nurse, and supporting exceptional service. CNAs work as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services for patients and residents. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Requirements

State certification as a nursing assistant.
Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant.
Highly developed observation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care to residents in a manner that supports their safety and comfort and follows community policy.
Promote and support residents’ greatest possible degree of independence.
Advise the supervising charge nurse of residents’ status at the beginning and end of each shift.
Contribute knowledge of residents’ conditions and needs to resident care plans.
Assist with implementing care plans as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Observe and report on residents’ conditions and document observations as required.
Follow established procedures for safe lifting and transferring of residents.
Ensure equipment is clean and functional.
Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as needed to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
