About The Position

Medical Park West Rehabilitation and Skilled Care in Norman, Oklahoma is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide care in a long-term and rehabilitative care facility. The position works an 8-hour shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., providing residents with personal care, assisting the charge nurse, and contributing to a multidisciplinary team. The facility’s mission is to provide clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services that meet the needs and expectations of patients and residents.

Requirements

State certification as a nursing assistant.
Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant.
Highly developed observation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care to residents in a manner that promotes their safety and comfort and follows community policy.
Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for residents.
Advise the supervising charge nurse of residents’ status at the beginning and end of the shift.
Contribute knowledge of residents’ conditions and needs to resident care plans.
Assist with implementing care plans as directed and within established policies and procedures.
Observe and report residents’ conditions and document observations as required.
Follow established procedures for safely lifting and transferring residents.
Ensure equipment is clean and functional.
Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as needed to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
