About The Position

Birmingham Green is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, holistic care to residents of its nursing home and assisted living facilities. The role is scheduled from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. and includes working every other weekend. The CNA helps residents with daily needs, supports their comfort and well-being, and contributes to a safe, welcoming environment. The position requires an active Virginia CNA license, completed CNA training, and current Adult CPR and First Aid certification. At least six months of long-term care experience is preferred.

Requirements

• Active Virginia CNA license.
• Completed CNA training.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Take and record vital signs and measure intake and output.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary team members.
• Document resident care and maintain accurate medical records.
• Assist residents with ambulation and transportation.
• Serve meal trays and assist residents with eating.
• Change bed linens to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
• Help maintain a restraint-free environment and support fall-prevention programs.
• Participate in surveys, inspections, in-service classes, and staff meetings.
• Complete appropriate forms, reports, evaluations, and studies.
• Provide post-mortem care as needed.
