About The Position

Bruce Community Living Center is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, personalized care to residents and help support their well-being, comfort, and quality of life. The role involves direct care on an assigned unit, assisting residents with activities of daily living, monitoring their needs, and communicating changes in condition to the Charge Nurse. The position also supports admissions, transfers, and discharges in the Transitional Care Unit, maintains required documentation, and follows infection prevention and safety practices. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bruce Community Living Center describes its environment as welcoming and supportive, with a focus on meaningful connections among residents, families, communities, and team members.

Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant certification in good standing.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular direct care rounds on the assigned unit to monitor activity and ensure residents’ needs are met, including assisting with activities of daily living.
Maintain positive relationships with residents and patients.
Notify the Charge Nurse of any change in a resident’s or patient’s condition.
Obtain vital signs, weights, and heights as instructed by the Charge Nurse.
Complete assigned duties and required documentation.
Coordinate and prepare for new admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents in the Transitional Care Unit.
Maintain a safe and clean work area.
Ensure infection prevention and control practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
