About The Position
Brookdale is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), known as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) in Ohio, to provide seniors with personalized care in coordination with community management. The role includes checking in with residents, helping with dining and personal care, checking vital signs, and performing clinical procedures in accordance with community policy. CNAs provide updates on resident status at the beginning and end of each shift and must maintain their certification. Brookdale describes opportunities for career development, including potential advancement to roles such as Medication Technician (QMAP), Home Care Aide, and Nurse. Benefits vary by employment status. Temporary associates are not benefits-eligible, although they may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.
Requirements
- Successfully complete a State CNA/STNA course.
- Maintain CNA/STNA certification.
Responsibilities
- Work with community management to provide seniors with personalized care.
- Give resident status updates at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Check in with residents and assist with dining and personal care needs.
- Perform vital sign checks and clinical procedures according to community policy.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including showers, bathroom assistance, dressing, and grooming.
- Maintain CNA/STNA certification.
