About The Position

Home of the Innocents is seeking a dedicated, compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support residents at the Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center. The CNA works collaboratively to provide high-quality care and help create an environment where children, families, and team members can thrive. The role offers self-scheduling and day or night shifts, with full-time and part-time schedules available at 24, 30, or 36 hours per week. Weekend shifts or rotation are required.

Requirements

Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Good judgment, clinical expertise, and effective communication skills to deliver quality resident care.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate flexibility, integrity, and compassion when caring for individuals with diverse backgrounds and functional abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with nursing and other department personnel.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current State Registered Nurse Aide certification (Certified Nurse Aide) in good standing with the Kentucky Board of Nursing / State Nurse Aide Registry; required.
Current CPR / Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers; certification can be provided if needed.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with mobility, feeding, and personal care within the CNA scope of practice, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Engage with residents according to their needs, fostering therapeutic connections and brightening their day.
Help organize enriching activities and maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
Participate in onsite and offsite activities and appointments, including physically assisting residents with mobility and transfers.
Follow safety and infection control procedures to protect residents and staff.
