About The Position

Signature HealthCARE of Elizabethton Rehab & Wellness Center is a 94-bed facility providing short-term and long-term care. The Certified Nursing Assistant performs direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel and helps promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment in accordance with facility policies and procedures. The CNA provides activities of daily living within the scope of practice and each resident’s plan of care, and supports resident rights and choices. Full-time day-shift CNA openings are offered with a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer-service orientation and ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Ability to function independently, with flexibility, personal integrity, and effectiveness in working with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Help promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Provide activities of daily living within the scope of practice and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards in assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist with orientation and training of other staff as requested.
• Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
