About The Position
Interim HealthCare is hiring a Home Health Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide one-on-one care to patients in their homes in Whitewater, Wisconsin, and surrounding areas. The role involves supporting seniors and people with illnesses, injuries, or chronic diseases, helping them maintain comfort and manage daily activities while following their care plans in coordination with Home Health nurses and aides. The position offers flexible daytime hours, with no nights or weekends.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Active Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification.
- CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
- Compassionate nature and good communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Care for seniors and people with an illness, injury, or chronic disease in their homes.
- Assist with daily activities, including bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nail and skin care, eating, and nutritional intake.
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Check vital signs, measure intake and output, monitor blood glucose, and document changes.
- Work with Home Health nurses and aides to ensure the patient’s care plan is followed.
- Observe patients and notify a supervisor about issues requiring a change in care, medication, or medical equipment.
