About The Position
Covenant Living is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant for an AM shift. The role provides direct daily care to older adult residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care settings, supporting their quality of life and providing peace of mind for residents and their families. The position reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. The CNA assists residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignments, and may also help with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. Employees may be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the State.
- Listing on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to residents daily.
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, transportation, and transfers.
- Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including light housekeeping, changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothing is marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away; notify a supervisor of clothing needs.
- Prepare residents for meals, help serve meals, and assist residents with feeding.
- Assist with activities and dining services.
- Follow direction from the nurse manager, licensed nurses on duty, or other supervisory staff.
