About The Position
Covenant Living is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide daily direct care to older adult residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. The role supports the organization’s purpose of creating joy and peace of mind for residents and their families in a supportive, faith-based community. The Certified Nursing Assistant reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. The position provides assistance with residents’ basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignments, and may also assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. The CNA may be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state.
- Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to residents on a daily basis.
- Assist residents with basic personal care, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, transportation, and transfers.
- Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothes are marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away.
- Notify a supervisor of residents’ clothing needs as they occur.
- Prepare residents for meals and assist with serving meals and feeding residents.
- Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
