About The Position

Covenant Living is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide daily direct care to residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. The role supports residents’ quality of life and helps create a supportive, respectful, service-oriented community. The position reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. CNAs may be cross-trained in Assisted Living.

The CNA assists residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignments, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers. The position also supports activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. Duties include keeping resident rooms clean and orderly, changing linens and making beds, tending to personal effects and bathrooms, maintaining resident laundry, notifying a supervisor of clothing needs, and preparing residents for meals and assisting with meal service and feeding.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state.
• Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents on a daily basis.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, transportation, and transfers.
• Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Keep resident rooms clean and orderly, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Assist with resident laundry by ensuring clothing is marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away; notify a supervisor of clothing needs.
• Prepare residents for meals, assist with serving meals, and feed residents as needed.
• Follow procedures and daily assignments, taking direction from the nurse manager, licensed nurses on duty, or other supervisory staff.
