About The Position
Covenant Living is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide direct daily care to residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. The role supports residents’ quality of life and helps create peace of mind for residents and their families in a team-oriented, faith-based community. The Certified Nursing Assistant reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. The position assists residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignments, and may also assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. The role may be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state.
- Listed on the state’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to residents on a daily basis.
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers.
- Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothes are marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away.
- Notify a supervisor of residents’ clothing needs.
- Prepare residents for meals, assist with serving meals, and feed residents as needed.
- Assist with activities and provide light housekeeping and dining services.
