About The Position
Covenant Living is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide daily direct care to residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. The position reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. CNAs help residents with basic personal care according to established procedures and daily assignments, while contributing to a supportive, team-oriented, faith-based community. The role may be cross-trained in Assisted Living. Duties also include helping with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. CNAs maintain residents’ rooms, assist with resident laundry, prepare residents for meals, serve meals, and help feed residents.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state and passing the program test.
- Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to residents daily.
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, transportation, and transfers.
- Help residents participate in activities.
- Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside areas, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothing is marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away; notify a supervisor of clothing needs.
- Prepare residents for meals and assist with meal service and feeding.
- May be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
