About The Position

Baptist Home Health Care by BAYADA is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide to serve adult and geriatric clients in North Jacksonville and West Jacksonville, Florida. This is a home-visiting position, serving approximately 5–6 patients during the daytime on a per-visit basis. Reliable transportation for travel between clients’ homes is required. The role is offered with part-time schedules. BAYADA’s purpose is to help people of all ages live safely at home with comfort, independence, and dignity. The organization aims to provide clients and families with high-quality home health care delivered with compassion, excellence, and reliability, enabling clients to remain at home while receiving needed medical care.

Requirements

Have at least one year of work experience.
Hold a Florida CNA license or Home Health Aide Certificate.
Be listed on the Florida Nurse Aide Registry, active and in good standing.
Demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Pass the BAYADA Competency Evaluation Examination.
Complete a criminal background check.
Meet all state requirements.
Have reliable transportation to travel between clients’ homes.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living.
Provide light housekeeping and home management, including laundry, meal preparation, and bed making.
Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
Support range-of-motion activities and exercises.
Assist with transfers, including use of mechanical lifting devices.
Assist with oral feeding and ambulation.
Check vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
Provide medication assistance.
