About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Nurses Aide or Certified Nurse Aide for home health visits to clients throughout Portage County. The Home Health Aide is an integral member of a multidisciplinary health care team providing home health aide, skilled nursing, and rehabilitative care so clients can receive the medical care they need while remaining at home. The role offers a 1:1 patient ratio and flexible scheduling. Candidates must have access to reliable transportation and be available during daytime hours. The position requires at least one year of work experience, active and good-standing listing on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry, English communication skills, successful completion of BAYADA’s Competency Evaluation Examination, a criminal background check, and compliance with state requirements. Compensation is listed as $23.00–$26.00 per point, depending on qualifications and subject to negotiation.

Requirements

At least one year of work experience.
Active listing in good standing on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Pass the BAYADA Competency Evaluation Examination.
Complete a criminal background check.
Meet all state requirements.
Access to reliable transportation.
Availability during daytime hours.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance with activities of daily living.
Perform light housekeeping.
Assist clients with bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
Assist with range-of-motion activities and exercises.
Assist with transfers and use mechanical lifting devices.
Assist with oral feeding and ambulation.
Check vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
Perform home management tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and bed making.
Provide medication assistance.
