About The Position

Baybrooke Village Care and Rehab Center in McKinney, Texas, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personal care and assist residents in a long-term and rehabilitative care facility. The role works an eight-hour shift and is part of a multidisciplinary team focused on clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services that meet the needs and expectations of residents and patients. The CNA provides care consistent with facility policy and supports residents’ safety, comfort, and independence. The position also assists the charge nurse, contributes to care planning, observes and documents residents’ conditions, and helps maintain a clean and hazard-free environment.

Requirements

State certification as a nursing assistant.
Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant.
Highly developed observation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care to residents in a manner that supports their safety and comfort and follows community policy.
Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for residents.
Advise the supervising charge nurse of residents’ status at the beginning and end of the shift.
Contribute knowledge of residents’ conditions and needs to resident care plans.
Assist with implementation of care plans as directed and within established policies and procedures.
Observe and report residents’ conditions and document observations as required.
Follow established procedures for safe lifting and transferring of residents.
Ensure equipment is clean and functional.
Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as needed to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
