About The Position

The Caregiver at Cedarwood at Sandy delivers quality care by encouraging residents’ independence and supporting their physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. The role involves assisting residents with daily activities and requests, providing companionship, responding to emergencies, documenting care, and contributing to current individual service plans. The schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2pm to 10pm.

Requirements

• Complete a nursing assistant course.
• Meet state training requirements and/or certifications.
• First Aid certification and CPR, if required.
• Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA), if required.
• PCA certification, if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with simple requests as needed.
• Supervise or assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation, and other activities.
• Provide companionship and develop strong resident relations.
• Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures.
• Document care provided to residents.
• Provide input to help keep residents’ individual service plans current.
• Regularly review the 24-hour report and care checklists.
