About The Position

The Caregiver at Cedarwood at Sandy delivers quality care by encouraging residents’ independence and supporting their physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. The schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. The role includes responding to residents’ needs, assisting with or supervising personal care and daily activities, offering companionship, responding to emergencies in accordance with policies and procedures, documenting care, contributing to current individual service plans, and regularly reviewing 24-hour reports and care checklists. Requirements

Nursing assistant course completion.
Meet state training requirements and/or certifications.
First Aid certification and CPR, if required.
Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA), if required.
PCA certification, if required.

Nice To Haves

High school education or GED equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with simple requests as needed.
Supervise or assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation, and other activities.
Provide companionship and develop strong resident relations.
Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures.
Document care provided to residents consistently.
Provide input to help keep residents’ individual service plans current.
Regularly review the 24-hour report and care checklists.
