About The Position

Park Place of Elmhurst, part of Providence Life Services, is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident and nursing care in accordance with physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies. The campus offers a continuum of care, including assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support.

Requirements

• Must have a compassionate, empathetic, and nurturing personality.
• Must have a genuine desire to care for the elderly.
• Must be mature and career-minded.
• Must hold a Nursing Assistant Certification for the State of Illinois.

• Previous experience in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident and nursing care according to physician’s orders and applicable nursing techniques, standards, and policies.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care.
• Perform duties in compliance with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Communicate and interpret care goals to residents and their families or caregivers.
• Assist with admissions and greet residents and family members.
• Assist assigned residents with toileting, bathing, and daily grooming.
• Help maintain a calm, pleasant living environment for residents.
• Use a gait belt to assist residents who are not fully ambulatory.
• Report changes in residents’ medical conditions to the appropriate nurses on duty.
• Give and receive shift reports to support consistent medical care.
• Measure and record vital signs as necessary or instructed.
