About The Position

Park Place of Elmhurst is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident and nursing care according to physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies. Park Place of Elmhurst offers a continuum of care that includes assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support on campus. The organization is part of Providence Life Services, which is committed to enhancing the lives of those it serves. The schedule is 6:00 AM–2:00 PM. The advertised pay range is $20.40–$23.00 per hour.

Requirements

Must have a compassionate, empathetic, and nurturing personality.
Must have a genuine desire to care for the elderly.
Must be mature and career minded.
Must hold a Nursing Assistant Certification for the State of Illinois.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in long-term care.

Responsibilities

Provide resident and nursing care according to physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
Maintain accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care.
Perform duties in compliance with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
Communicate and interpret care goals to residents and their families or caregivers.
Assist with the admissions process and greet residents and family members.
Assist assigned residents with toileting, bathing, and daily grooming.
Maintain a calm, pleasant living environment for residents.
Assist residents who are not fully ambulatory using a gait belt.
Document changes in medical condition and report them to the appropriate nurses on duty.
Give and receive shift reports to support consistent medical care.
Measure and record vital signs as necessary or instructed.
