Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Part time, 6AM-2PM
About The Position
Park Place of Elmhurst is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident and nursing care according to physician’s orders and recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies. The role includes maintaining accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care, complying with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, and state and federal regulatory requirements, and communicating care goals to residents and their families or caregivers. The position is scheduled from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Park Place of Elmhurst offers a continuum of care, including assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support, and is part of Providence Life Services.
Requirements
- Must have a compassionate, empathetic, and nurturing personality.
- Must have a genuine desire to care for the elderly.
- Must be mature and career-minded.
- Must have Nursing Assistant Certification for the State of Illinois.

- Previous experience in long-term care.
Responsibilities
- Provide resident and nursing care according to physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care.
- Perform functions in compliance with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Communicate and interpret care goals to residents and their families or caregivers.
- Assist with admissions and greet residents and family members.
- Assist assigned residents with toileting, bathing, and daily grooming.
- Maintain a calm, pleasant living environment for residents.
- Assist residents who are not fully ambulatory with a gait belt.
- Document changes in medical condition and report them to the appropriate nurses on duty.
- Give and receive shift reports to support consistent medical care.
- Measure and record vital signs as necessary or instructed.
