About The Position

Park Place of Elmhurst is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident and nursing care according to physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies. The role is based at a campus offering assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support. The CNA helps maintain residents’ well-being and a calm, pleasant living environment, communicates care goals to residents and their families or caregivers, and supports consistent delivery of care through documentation and shift reports. The scheduled shift is 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Requirements

Hold a Nursing Assistant Certification for the State of Illinois.
Have a compassionate, empathetic, and nurturing personality.
Have a genuine desire to care for the elderly.
Be mature and career minded.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in long-term care.

Responsibilities

Provide resident and nursing care according to physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
Maintain accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care.
Perform all functions in compliance with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
Communicate and interpret care goals to residents and their families or caregivers.
Assist with admissions and greet residents and family members.
Assist assigned residents with toileting, bathing, and daily grooming.
Maintain a calm, pleasant living environment for residents.
Wear a gait belt when assisting residents who are not fully ambulatory.
Document changes in residents’ medical conditions for the appropriate nurses on duty.
Give and receive shift reports to help ensure consistent medical care.
Measure and record vital signs as necessary or instructed.
