About The Position

Caregiving in Ashburn is seeking experienced CNAs with memory care experience to provide one-on-one home care to seniors in Northern Virginia. The agency focuses on dementia care and offers career growth opportunities, challenging cases, and a rewards and recognition program. Caregivers help clients with daily activities and support their physical, mental, and personal well-being. New hires receive a $75 bonus after successfully completing two days of orientation, in addition to the standard training pay. After completing their first full shift, employees receive a $100 bonus in addition to shift pay. Employees who complete 90 days of continuous employment with no missed shifts and at least 250 hours worked receive an additional $250 bonus.

Requirements

At least two years of CNA experience, including at least one year in a memory care unit.
Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Willingness to follow health and safety standards, including CDC guidance related to COVID-19.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful and compassionate manner with good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Engage clients in activities that stimulate the mind and spirit.
Help clients with ambulation and mobility around the home and outside.
Assist with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Complete shopping or accompany clients when needed.
Perform light housekeeping that clients cannot complete on their own, including meal preparation.
Collect information about clients’ conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family members.
Report unusual incidents to nurses, doctors, and family members.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched areas, including changing bed sheets.
