About The Position

Sunridge Assisted Living is seeking a fun, dedicated, compassionate, and energetic caregiver/CNA to serve as a vital link between residents, the nurse, and other facility staff. The role involves caring for elderly residents in a long-term care setting and responding to resident calls in a timely manner. The position is part-time and performed in person. Day, night, and overnight shifts are listed, and the weekly schedule includes weekends.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Completion of a state-approved CNA certification training course.
Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations calmly.
Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, family members, and professionals, and to convey sensitive information with empathy.
A love for the elderly and a positive, compassionate attitude.
Upon hire, a background check, food handler permit, CNA certification, CPR/First Aid certification, and TB test are required.

Nice To Haves

One year of caregiving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Care for elderly residents and assist them with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Respond to resident calls in a timely manner.
Document and notify the Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) and nurse of changes or concerns in residents’ conditions.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator or Resident Care Coordinator.
