Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Shower Aide
About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Shower Aide provides a safe environment, emotional and social support, and assistance with residents’ physical needs and comfort in a skilled nursing facility. The role performs direct care as assigned, in accordance with each resident’s care plan and supervisor direction, and assists residents with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Other duties may be assigned by community representatives. The employee follows health, sanitation, and infection-control policies and the standards of practice established by the community administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures. This position is located at Colonial Health & Rehab Center, 1604 Old Donation Parkway, Virginia Beach, VA 23454. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with a needed shift of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The wage is $21.00–$24.00 per hour. Requirements
- Maintain a current nursing assistant certification registry in good standing under applicable state law, or otherwise meet the state’s requirements to work as a nursing assistant.
- Have a high school diploma or GED, or be actively enrolled in a high school program.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe environment and emotional and social support to residents.
