About The Position
Visiting Angels Montgomery is seeking Live-In Certified Nurse Aides to provide compassionate care to seniors and others in need throughout Central Alabama, including Tuskegee. The role includes companionship and support with daily activities such as medication, mobility, personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and light housekeeping. Caregivers may also have the opportunity to pursue advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care.
Requirements
- Passion for serving others and being a caregiver.
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
- Respectful and compassionate demeanor.
- Good time management skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ethics.
- Physical endurance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Help clients take prescribed medication.
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home or outside, including attending appointments and taking walks.
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
- Help clients with routine exercises.
- Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
- Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete on their own.
- Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
- Report unusual incidents.
- Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
