About The Position

Visiting Angels of Baytown is hiring a Live-In Certified Nurse Aide to support senior adults and home-care clients throughout the Southeast Houston area, including Baytown, Mont Belvieu, Crosby, Pasadena, Dayton, Liberty, Deer Park, La Porte, and Highlands. The role helps clients remain or recover at home with dignity. Visits vary by client, and the caregiver may provide personal care, household help, meal preparation, mobility assistance, companionship, and support with daily routines. Caregivers must be prepared to respond promptly to medical emergencies and report changes in a client's health or unusual circumstances. The posting lists full-time, part-time, PRN, short-shift, and 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shift options.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent time-management skills.
Reliable transportation to client visits.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
Compassion and willingness to provide meaningful companionship to vulnerable people.
Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
Perform light housekeeping.
Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
Prompt clients to take prescription medications at the appropriate times.
Help clients shop and put away groceries, or shop on their behalf.
Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients, based on their abilities.
Assist clients with mobility and ambulation, including getting around the home, visiting the doctor, and taking walks.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies.
Report changes in clients' health or unusual circumstances.
