About The Position

Visiting Angels of Longview is hiring a Live-In Certified Nurse Aide to support senior adults and home-care clients throughout East Texas, including Carthage, DeBerry, Tatum, Tenaha, and Beckville. Caregivers help clients remain or recover at home with dignity. Client visits vary, and the aide may assist with personal care and hygiene, light housekeeping, exercise goals, medication reminders, shopping, meal planning and preparation, and mobility and ambulation. The aide must respond promptly to medical emergencies and report health changes or unusual circumstances. The role calls for competency, compassion, and professional discernment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent time-management skills.
Reliable transportation to client visits.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
A heart for vulnerable people seeking meaningful companionship.
Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
Perform light housekeeping.
Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
Prompt clients to take prescription medications at appropriate times.
Help clients shop and put away groceries, or shop on their behalf.
Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients, based on their abilities.
Assist clients with mobility and ambulation, including moving around the home, attending doctor visits, and taking walks.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies.
Report health changes and unusual circumstances.
