About The Position

Visiting Angels of Humble is hiring a Live-In Certified Nurse Aide to support senior adults and home-care clients throughout Northeast Houston, including Humble, Kingwood, Atascocita, Huffman, Dayton, Liberty, Porter, Cleveland, North Houston, and surrounding areas. The role helps clients remain at home or recover at home with dignity. Caregivers provide personal care and companionship, assist with daily activities, and respond appropriately to medical emergencies, reporting health changes or unusual circumstances.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent time-management skills.
Reliable transportation to client visits.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
Compassion and interest in providing meaningful companionship to vulnerable people.
Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
Manage light housekeeping.
Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
Prompt clients to take prescription medications at the appropriate times.
Help clients shop and put away groceries, or shop on their behalf.
Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients, based on client ability.
Assist clients with mobility and ambulation, including movement around the home, doctor visits, and walks.
Act quickly in medical emergencies and report health changes or unusual circumstances.
