About The Position

Visiting Angels Montgomery is seeking In Home Personal Aides to provide compassionate care to senior adults and others in need across Central Alabama, including Tuskegee. The role supports clients with everyday tasks and companionship, helping them maintain dignity and receive respectful care in their homes and community. Duties range from light housekeeping and meal preparation to mobility assistance and transportation. The position also offers opportunities for advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and being a caregiver.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate approach.
Good time management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ethics.
Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside the home, including to doctor’s appointments and on walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Do clients’ shopping or accompany them while they shop.
Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
