About The Position

Visiting Angels of Anniston is hiring a Live-In Certified Nurse Aide to support senior adults and home-care clients in the local area, including Pell City, Anniston, New London, Lincoln, Coal City, Oxford, and Saks. The role helps clients remain or recover at home with dignity. Client visits vary, and caregivers may provide personal care, light housekeeping, medication reminders, meal preparation, shopping assistance, mobility support, and companionship. Caregivers must be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and promptly report health changes or unusual circumstances. Shift options include full-time and PRN with varied shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent time-management skills.
Reliable transportation to client visits.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.
Compassion and interest in providing meaningful companionship to vulnerable people.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
Perform light housekeeping.
Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
Prompt clients to take prescription medications at the appropriate times.
Help clients shop and put away groceries, or shop on their behalf.
Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients, based on their abilities.
Assist clients with mobility and ambulation, including movement around the home, trips to medical appointments, and walks.
Respond quickly to medical emergencies and report health changes or unusual circumstances.
