About The Position

Spanish Cove Retirement Village is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for its Long-Term Care department. The role provides personal care and daily living assistance to elderly residents and people recovering from surgery, injuries, or accidents. The posted day shift is 5:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m., three days a week, on rotating weekdays and every other weekend. The pay rate is $16.50–$17.50. Requirements

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and be eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
• Must be able to frequently lift and move items, including lifting, moving, and transferring up to 100 pounds, and have the physical capability to perform all job-related duties.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation.
• Demonstrated ability to act compassionately and supportively.
• Must be available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent, experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or HHA, or completion of a CNA program.
• Take pride in providing high-quality care.

Nice To Haves

• Hoyer lift experience (specific to client).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance, including help with showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
• Assist with mobility around the home or outside, including walks and doctor’s appointments.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises.
• Complete clients’ shopping or accompany them while they shop.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report unusual incidents and respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Offer activities essential to daily living and assist with meals, including serving and related tasks as needed.
