Certified Nursing Aide (Night Shift) Long-Term Care
About The Position
Spanish Cove Retirement Village is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide for its Long-Term Care department. The role provides personal care and daily-living support to elderly residents and people recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents. The schedule is 5:45 p.m. to 6:15 a.m., three days per week, on rotating weekdays and every other weekend. The pay rate is $16.50–$17.50 per hour. The position involves assisting clients with hygiene, dressing, eating, medication, mobility, meals, and physical therapy exercises; completing shopping and housekeeping tasks; and responding responsibly to unusual incidents or emergencies. Requirements
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Enjoy working one-on-one and be eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
- Ability to frequently lift, move, and transfer 100 pounds and perform all job-related duties.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation.
- Demonstrated ability to act compassionately and supportively.
- Availability to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent, experience as a caregiver, CNA, or HHA, or completion of a CNA program.
- Take pride in providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene assistance, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
- Help clients move around the home or outside, including attending appointments and taking walks.
- Plan and prepare meals.
- Assist with physical therapy exercises.
- Complete clients’ shopping or accompany them while shopping.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Report unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
- Assist with activities essential to daily living, including serving meals and helping with other meal-related tasks as needed.
