Certified Nursing Assistant Long Term Care
About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant provides individualized personal care, assists residents with activities of daily living, and performs patient transfers and transport. The role supports registered nurses and licensed practical nurses with ordered clinical procedures and helps keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and sanitary. The nursing assistant monitors and reports physical, mental, or emotional status changes to nursing staff and promptly addresses safety hazards or emergency situations. This position is based at Providence Village in Waco, Texas, in the Skilled Nursing department. The schedule is full-time nights.
Requirements
- Nurse Aide credential obtained before the hire date or job transfer date.
Nice To Haves
- BLS Provider credential; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized personal care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Perform patient transfers and transport.
- Support RNs and LPNs with ordered clinical procedures.
- Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and sanitary.
- Report residents’ physical, mental, or emotional status changes to nursing staff.
- Promptly address safety hazards or emergency situations.
