About The Position
Holisticare Hospice is hiring a full-time Hospice Aide (CNA/HHA) to provide hands-on care to hospice patients and help ensure their physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with respect, empathy, and professionalism. The aide works closely with the nursing team and follows each patient’s plan of care to support comfort and dignity at the end of life. The position covers Monmouth and Middlesex counties and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) license or valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
- Access to dependable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- At least six months of experience in hospice or a skilled nursing facility is preferred; hospice experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Follow each patient’s plan of care and respond promptly to patient and family or caregiver requests.
- Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding and clothing, and shampooing.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support patient satisfaction.
- Share knowledge and guide and support families caring for terminally ill loved ones.
- Maintain accurate documentation in patients’ homes and in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
