About The Position
Holisticare Hospice is seeking a full-time Hospice Aide (CNA/HHA) to provide hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients receiving end-of-life care. Working closely with the nursing team, the aide helps address patients’ physical, emotional, and personal needs with respect, empathy, and professionalism. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., covering Monmouth County and Middlesex County.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) license or valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- At least six months of experience in hospice or a skilled nursing facility; hospice experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Follow each patient’s plan of care to promote comfort and well-being, and respond promptly to requests from patients and their families or caregivers.
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding and clothing, and shampooing.
- Provide exceptional customer service and work to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Share knowledge with and guide and support families caring for terminally ill loved ones.
- Maintain accurate documentation in patients’ homes and in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
