About The Position

LOES - Loving Our Elders and Seniors is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide care to seniors and elderly individuals in Columbus, New Jersey. The role offers an immediate start and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., for a total of 20 hours per week. The aide will assist clients with personal care and daily living activities, support their safety and well-being, and follow individualized care plans.

Requirements

Valid New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification.
Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care.
Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor toward elderly clients.
Valid ID and ability to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in home care, elder care, or a related healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support.
Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety and comfort.
Monitor and document clients’ health status and report changes to supervising staff.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe home environment.
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote client well-being.
Assist with medication reminders and follow individualized care plans.
