About The Position

FirstLight Home Care is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and dependable Certified Home Health Aide to provide personalized, non-medical care that supports clients’ comfort, dignity, and independence in their homes. The role includes personal care, companionship, household assistance, and communication with a supervisor about changes in a client’s condition. The position serves Morris County and Somerset County. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, including daytime, weekend, and morning-shift work.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Possession of state-required certifications.
Valid driver’s license and adequate auto insurance, if applicable; the posting also states the role must be able to drive.
Passion for caregiving and a desire to help others.
Commitment to being present and providing quality care.

Responsibilities

Provide personalized, non-medical care in accordance with each client’s Service Plan or Care Plan.
Assist clients with bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
Provide companionship, conversation, light housekeeping, and meal planning and preparation.
Provide medication reminders.
Monitor, record, and report changes in clients’ physical condition, behavior, or appearance to a supervisor.
Use the company’s time-management system to clock in and out and document completed tasks according to company policies.
Stay updated on relevant changing technology.
Adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Participate in quality-assurance reviews and evaluations.
Uphold, support, and promote company policies and procedures.
