About The Position

The Cemetery Groundskeeper at Everstory Partners is responsible for the care, maintenance, and repair of cemetery property, as well as helping maintain the safety and security of employees and visitors. The role includes landscape maintenance, equipment upkeep, general maintenance, support for funeral services, safe machinery operation, and installation of cemetery vaults, headstones, and memorials as needed. Snow removal may also be required where applicable. The Groundskeeper is expected to provide attentive service to customers and perform other duties assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.

The role calls for compassion, customer focus, and adherence to appropriate ethical values. The position requires a high school equivalency, at least two years of maintenance or related experience, the ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery, and a valid state driver's license. Applicants should be able to follow written memos and directives, manage multiple tasks and interruptions, provide excellent customer service, and lift up to 80 pounds. Availability for some holidays, evenings, and weekends is required.

Requirements

• High school equivalency required.
• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from a supervisor or management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Valid state driver's license required.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance, including weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
• Maintain equipment.
• Perform functions related to funeral services.
• Operate machinery safely and appropriately.
• Install or assist with installing cemetery vaults.
• Install headstones or memorials as needed.
• Perform day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Perform snow removal when applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.
• Help maintain the safety and security of employees and visitors at the location.
