About The Position

The Cemetery Groundskeeper at Everstory Partners is responsible for caring for, maintaining, and repairing cemetery property, while supporting the safety and security of employees and visitors. The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing a high level of service to customers. Duties include landscape maintenance, equipment upkeep, funeral-service functions, safe machinery operation, cemetery vault and memorial installation, general maintenance, and snow removal when applicable. The Groundskeeper also performs other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.

The position calls for compassion, customer focus, and adherence to ethical values. It requires a high school equivalency, at least two years of maintenance or related experience, the ability to operate maintenance equipment, strong organization and interpersonal skills, and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds. Some holiday, evening, and weekend availability is required as needed.

Requirements

• High school equivalency.
• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from a supervisor and/or management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance, including weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
• Maintain equipment.
• Perform functions related to funeral services.
• Operate machinery appropriately and safely.
• Install or assist in installing cemetery vaults.
• Install headstones or memorials as needed.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Remove snow when applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.
