About The Position

The Cemetery Groundskeeper at Everstory Partners cares for, maintains, and repairs cemetery property while supporting the safety and security of employees and visitors. The role performs landscaping and general maintenance, maintains and operates equipment safely, assists with funeral service functions, and installs cemetery vaults, headstones, or memorials as needed. Snow removal may also be required where applicable. The position requires compassion, customer focus, and adherence to ethical values when serving families and visitors.

Requirements

• High school equivalency required.
• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from a supervisor or management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Demonstrates compassion, customer focus, and ethical values.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance, including weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
• Maintain equipment.
• Perform functions related to funeral services.
• Operate machinery appropriately and safely.
• Install or assist with installing cemetery vaults.
• Install headstones or memorials as needed.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Perform snow removal, if applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.
