About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a licensed CDL driver to make ground and rooftop deliveries of building products. The driver is responsible for the safety of each delivery from departure from the facility through completion at the job site. The role includes customer service, securing and checking truck loads, unloading materials with a Delivery Material Handler, completing delivery documentation, and collecting payment for cash-on-delivery deliveries. Warehouse loading and unloading may also be assigned. This position does not require over-the-road travel; drivers are home every night. Overtime may be required as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
• Must complete a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug screens.

Nice To Haves

• Conveyor and/or drywall boom truck experience.
• Crane certification.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
• Document each step of deliveries by taking and uploading photos using the camera phone system.
• Complete a thorough truck load check before leaving the branch, securing delivery materials and ensuring the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Work with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where materials should be set and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide the customer with an invoice upon completion of each delivery and collect the full amount due on cash-on-delivery deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials to or from trucks or into the warehouse.
