About The Position

Ferguson is hiring a non-CDL Delivery Truck Driver to deliver materials to customers and assist with warehouse operations as needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 6 a.m. and ending when work is finished, approximately 2–3 p.m. The role offers daily home time with no nights or weekends. The position is based in Ashland, Virginia, and is a field role. Pay is $21.00–$23.50 per hour, and the role is eligible for a bonus or incentive plan. Pre-employment drug and background screening are required.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have a valid driver's license.
Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
Currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card to meet driver requirements.
Be able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Communicate effectively and take a customer-focused approach.
Be able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads.

Nice To Haves

Background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, and delivery.

Responsibilities

Deliver materials to customers, including helping load and unload materials and ensuring the delivery ticket accompanies the material.
Pick up customer returns and validate that products match credit requests.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report problems or issues to a supervisor.
Follow and implement company safety policies and procedures.
Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment and with receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking incoming material.
Work overtime as needed.
Follow safety regulations and use required personal protective equipment, including a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds.
