About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a CDL Delivery Truck Driver to make ground and rooftop deliveries of building materials. The driver is responsible for the safety of each delivery from departure from the facility through completion at the job site. The position does not require over-the-road travel, and the posting notes that drivers are home every night. Duties may also include warehouse work, such as loading and unloading materials.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug screens.

Nice To Haves

• Conveyor truck experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Conduct a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
• Document each step of every delivery by taking and uploading photos through the camera phone system.
• Complete a load check before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Work with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to place materials and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Provide the customer with an invoice upon delivery and collect the full amount due on cash-on-delivery deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials on or off trucks or into the warehouse.
