About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a CDL Delivery Truck Driver to deliver building materials safely from the branch to customer job sites. Drivers make ground and rooftop deliveries and are responsible for the safety of each delivery from departure through completion. The position does not require over-the-road travel and may include warehouse work, such as loading and unloading materials. Drivers work with a Delivery Material Handler to determine where materials should be placed and unloaded.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
• Successful completion of required pre-employment and random drug screens.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
• Document each delivery by taking and uploading photos using the company camera phone system.
• Inspect the truck and load before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with the Delivery Material Handler on where to place and unload materials.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide customers with an invoice upon completion of each delivery and collect the full amount due for COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials onto or off trucks or into the warehouse.
