About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a CDL Delivery Truck Driver to deliver building materials safely and professionally. The driver is responsible for each delivery from departure from the facility through completion at the job site, following the assigned schedule and job directives. This position does not require over-the-road travel, and the stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Duties include customer service, maintaining a safe work zone, documenting deliveries with photos using the company camera phone system, inspecting and securing loads, and ensuring the truck complies with applicable regulations. The driver works with a Delivery Material Handler to determine placement and unload materials, completes delivery logs and government paperwork, and provides invoices and collects payment for COD deliveries. Warehouse loading and unloading work may also be assigned.

Requirements

Valid CDL, Class A or B.
Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
Complete required pre-employment and random drug screens.

Responsibilities

Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Conduct a safe work zone during each job site delivery.
Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
Document each delivery step by taking and uploading photos with the camera phone system.
Complete a load check before leaving the branch, secure delivery materials, and ensure the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
Work with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where materials should be set and unload them.
Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and promptly.
Provide customers with an invoice upon completion of each delivery and collect the full amount due for COD deliveries.
Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials from trucks or into the warehouse.
