About The Position

This is an entry-level position for CDL-A truck drivers who have their license but lack driving experience. The role involves regional dry van freight in Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois. Drivers will be out Monday and home Saturday, completing approximately 1,500 to 1,800 miles per week. The job includes drop and hook, live loads, live unloads, and preloads. Paid training is provided with an experienced driver trainer, followed by moving into a dedicated truck on full pay.

Requirements

• Class A CDL.
• At least 21 years of age.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• For entry-level: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school.
• For experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years.
• Live within 100 miles of a hiring city (Columbus, Cincinnati, Louisville, Lexington, Dayton).

Responsibilities

• Ride with an experienced driver trainer on real loads during the training period.
• Operate a commercial truck for dry van freight in the Midwest region (KY, OH, MI, IN, IL).
• Complete approximately 1,500 to 1,800 miles per week.
• Adhere to a schedule of leaving Monday and returning home Saturday.
• Perform tasks including drop and hook, live loads, live unloads, and preloads.
• Maintain a clean driving record and pass DOT physical and drug screenings.
