Entry Level CDL A Truck Driver - Paid Training
About The Position
This is an entry-level position for CDL-A truck drivers with no prior driving experience. Drivers will join a western regional fleet that provides on-the-road training for new CDL holders. Trainees are paid weekly during the training period and receive a guaranteed check for their first months of solo driving. The role involves dry van freight transportation across western states, west of the Mississippi River, with approximately 2,000 miles driven per week. Drivers can expect to be home every two weeks and should be prepared for day and night dispatch, including weekend driving.
Requirements
- Class A CDL
- At least 21 years of age
- Completed 120+ hours at an accredited CDL school
- No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Reside within 200 miles of Troutdale, OR
Responsibilities
- Ride with an experienced driver trainer on real loads during the training period.
- Operate a Class A CDL truck for dry van freight transportation.
- Drive approximately 2,000 miles per week.
- Adhere to dispatch schedules, which may include day and night shifts and weekend driving.
- Maintain a safe driving record and pass DOT physical and drug screenings.
