About The Position

This is an entry-level CDL A Truck Driver position for drivers in Klamath Falls who have their CDL-A but lack driving experience. The role is part of a western regional fleet with short runs, typically keeping drivers within 2 days of home. The company provides on-the-road training for new CDL holders. After training, drivers move into their own trucks and receive full pay. The freight is dry van across the 11 western states, with an average of 1,700 to 2,100 miles per week. Drivers are home every 2 weeks, with an option to run beyond the western states for more miles. The pay structure includes weekly earnings averaging $1,000 to $1,300, a standard mileage pay scale that increases with experience, up to 6 cents per mile extra in performance bonus, and $15 stop pay. There is also $300 orientation pay, with travel to orientation covered.

Requirements

• Class A CDL.
• Must be 21 or older.
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years.
• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• CDL-A in hand, no experience: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Ride with an experienced driver trainer on real loads.
• Move into your own truck on full pay once your trainer signs off.
• Drive dry van freight across the 11 western states.
• Operate within a range of 1,700 to 2,100 miles per week.
• Maintain a schedule that allows for being home every 2 weeks.
• Option to run past the western states for increased mileage.
