About The Position

Rouse Trucking is hiring experienced CDL-A flatbed drivers to transport building materials, pipe, coils, and similar freight. The primary operating area is generally east of I-35. Drivers earn $1,675 to $1,775 per week, with 70 cents per mile paid on loaded and empty miles and an additional $30 for every load. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for solo drivers. Tarping is required on approximately three out of five loads, and the $30 load pay applies whether or not tarping is required. Drivers are on the road for 7–14 days before returning home for a 34–48-hour reset. Assigned equipment includes 2020–2025 Peterbilt 567 and 579 tractors, with automatic and manual transmission options, and 2024 48-foot spread-axle flatbed trailers. Trucks are governed at 70 MPH. Drivers may take their assigned truck home when safe parking is available. Regular maintenance is provided. Transition pay is available during the first few weeks while drivers become familiar with routes, scheduling, and dispatch operations. One pet may ride along, with no breed or weight restrictions; cats are also allowed. One passenger age 10 or older is permitted with the required liability form.
